Groups
The following groups are active at present but are under review. More information soon.
Mother's Union The Mother's Union is a worldwide Christian organisation working towards the improvement of family life through prayer and practical action. We undertake projects in the community which range from work in contact centres, parenting groups and toddler groups, to work in prisons. Overseas, MU workers provide vital leadership for efforts in the community and support relief work in disaster areas.
Locally, there is a meeting on the 2nd Tuesday in the month at 2.30pm in St Andrew's Church. For details contact Annette Bosworth via the clergy on the Who's Who page.
Wellspring Bible Study The Bible is "The Maker's Handbook" and hence as it is often said in life, "If all else fails, read the instruction book!". Our study of the Bible is friendly, not prescriptive and open to all; we don't claim to be experts but merely people seeking timeless guidance in a complicated and rapidly changing world. For details contact David Gee via the clergy on the Who's Who page.
The Prayer Network There are two groups that meets monthly. They update the list of those who requested prayer and for those for whom prayer has been requested by others. The list includes groups and areas of concern within the area. These lists are treated with a high degree of confidentiality and not discussed publicly. For details contact Gillian Sinclair via the clergy on the Who's Who page. |
